The East Coast Ice 2Line League was designed to give the players that were not selected for one of our Elite or AAA teams maximum development in a fun environment in the short 5-7 week spring season. The ice sessions are structured for a great balance of skill development and fun to ensure players develop their skills properly and also develop a passion for the game of hockey!

Maximum Development
Each team will have 10 players and 1 goaltender per team (along with 1-2 Sub Players and 1 goalie who practice (depending on division) and fill in, in games if someone is missing), which gives the players a significant amount of exposure to coaches’ feedback and will get them on the ice every second shift to work on the skills they have practiced.

Maximum Fun
Playing our signature 2Line Hockey League is a positive environment to have fun, build chemistry with your linemates and build new friendships.

Practice Development
Each 2Line team will have 6 hours split ice practice to focus on individual and team development. Teams also have opportunity to add extra practices to the program if the parent group chooses.

Game Development

-12-14 games
-Teams will play a small jamboree of 4X30 minute games to help us tier teams accordingly for the remainder full 6 games schedule building up to the Final weekend 2-line tournament.

Team Selection
The team must be comprised of 6 forwards, 4 defensemen and 1 goaltender. Each team will also have 1 forward, 1 defenseman and 1 goaltender as sub players, who will practice and fill in for their respective positions, when need be. Coaches will select their teams by identifying players through minor hockey.

Free Agent Players
If a player wishes to play but does not have a team, they can place their name on the Free Agent List by emailing derek@eastcoastice.ca and we will do our best to secure a spot on a team requiring players. There is no guarantee that we will find a spot, but most free agent players will be offered a spot on a team.

Cancellations and Refunds
We do not offer an open refund policy.

Sponsorship Program
Players have the opportunity to fund-raise and get sponsors to help cover the cost of their spring hockey expenses. Funds collected through the Sponsorship Program go directly to the player.

COVID Refund Policy
As we want to ensure the safety of all families involved, ECI will be following all recommendations, guidelines and protocols laid out by our Provincial Health authorities and facilities. If ECI is forced to cancel any programs Due to Covid-19 and cannot reschedule them, families will have options for credit or refunds on a prorated basis. Refunds will not be given to families who withdraw on a voluntary basis.
